Maps of Southampton
One of Southampton's great advantages is that is so easy to get around.
A central Southampton Map is now available free of charge to businesses. Organised by, Southampton City Council's City Centre Management Team the map is part of the Legible City Programme which aims to greatly improve directional and city information for residents and visitors by means of modern signage, street information panels, and maps.
The map includes details of railway and bus terminals, ferries, taxi locations and car parks. Useful information is provided for people travelling by foot or bike, or by bus, ferry, train or car. Also highlighted are shopping, leisure and cultural facilities such as monuments, museums, parks, and art galleries. Contacts details for tourist information, bus, coach and ferry companies and other useful numbers are also included.
The maps are available from the Tourist Information Centre, at 9 Civic Centre Road, and from hotels, universities, shops, public facilities and libraries.
You can also download a PDF version that can be adapted for your specific business needs to show only the information you wish to give to your customers and clients, for example directions to your premises or business event.
The Legible City Programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund through Interreg III B North West Europe Programme, Southampton City Council, Southampton City Centre Management, Southampton Partnership and the South East England Development Agency.
