Parking
Visitors displaying a valid disabled persons Blue Badge can park free of charge in all Southampton City Council surface car parks and in West Park Multi-Storey and on-street parking bays.
There is clearly marked designated parking for people with disabilities at the following car parks: WestQuay Podium, WestQuay Multi-Storey, and West Quay Retail Park .Please telephone +44 (0)23 8083 4600 for further information on parking.
Toilets
There are adapted toilets in the Bargate, East Street, Marlands and WestQuay shopping centres and at Mothercare World and Toys R Us in the West Quay Retail Park. The National Express coach station also has an adapted toilet.
Shopmobility
Southampton has two Shopmobility schemes which can provide battery operated wheelchairs/scooters or manual wheelchairs to anyone with limited mobility. City Shopmobility has a surface car park near the Above Bar Street pedestrian precinct and WestQuay Shopmobility is located on level 2 of the Podium car park.
Parking is free at City Shopmobility in Castle Way when a wheelchair or scooter is hired. At WestQuay the parking ticket is cancelled, to allow free parking, when a wheelchair or scooter is hired.

Southampton Action for Access

SAFA is a Southampton based Access Group and a registered charity working alongside local authorities, private developers and existing service providers to improve access to goods services and premises. Their aim is to improve access for all the community, but in particular disabled people, through positive consultation.They have an Access Guide which lists over 250 city centre shops and over 130 city council services with all their access features, parking facilities and contact details, with links to all their websites.

Expertise and support to the tourism and hospitality sector and provides accessible services to all. A network for organisations and individuals who wish to support their objectives.
