Timing

A 09:00 landing at Gatwick gives a realistic 10:00 train, a 12:15 arrival in Southampton and the terminal before 12:45, inside most boarding windows. Later landings are fine for lines that board until 15:30, but a pre-booked car removes the risk of a missed connection at Clapham Junction.
